Louisiana Hot Sauce Festival a good time!
On July 19th & 20th Salinas Salsa Co went on an adventure to cajun country into the fine city of Lafayette LA for the 1st Annual 2014 Louisiana Hot Sauce Festival in Acadian Village. Dana Romero who produced (and is very well known in the fiery food world) the 1st time festival did a great job in getting some great companies to come out to a wonderful outside location of Acadian Village. With threatening weather upon us the festival went on without a hitch with a great turn out. With some major hitters in the industry such as CaJohns Fiery Foods, Cin Chili & Co., PuckerButt Pepper Company & Frog Bone to mention some that made it out made the event very special to attend and visit with.
We had a great time setting up post on a little island in the swamp with our friends from Humboldt Hot Sauce (Cal Ferris). Across the bridge from us was Zombie Cajun Hot Sauce which were great guys & gals to meet and hang out with. We got to see our friends & meet new ones from Bravado Spice, iBurn, Feisty Parrot, Salsa Maya, Cajohns, Cin Chilli & Co., PuckerButt Pepper, Company, Frog Bone, Silverleaf, Jungle Heat (from Canada) and many more!
